We know that you want your journey to be uninterrupted and that's why My Car Boutique take steps to help you avoid mechanical issues as well as putting a reliable back up in place for the rare occasion a problem does arise.
All of the cars that leave My Car Boutique have:
Multi-point inspection prior to handover
Our used vehicles are independently inspected by trained and experienced technicians. We check for safety and function to make sure you drive away with quality you can rely on. Our multi point check ensures that all the major components and functions of the vehicle are operating correctly as well as making sure all the fluid levels, bulbs, tyre pressures and other consumables are at the correct level.
Minimum of 8 months MOT remaining
The MOT test checks that your vehicle meets road safety and environmental standards. During the MoT test a person authorised by the government body called DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, formerly VOSA) known as the nominated tester, will conduct an inspection and a comprehensive series of checks around the vehicle, including the interior, exterior, under the bonnet and under the vehicle. Most vehicles arrive at My Car Boutique with plenty of time before its MOT certificate is due to expire but if there is less than eight months to go, we have the vehicle re-tested and issued with a new certificate before you collect.
HPI vehicle check and Service history
We go to great lengths to ensure the quality of our used vehicles is as good as can be. Service history is a great indicator of the way in which a vehicle has been looked after. We make sure your cars service history is up to date so you don't have to go straight off and service your new car. Using HPI Ltd we run a list of checks, all based on information from a number of sources, including the police, finance companies and insurers. We investigate the vehicle's current status, and its history as standard to ensure (amongst other things) the vehicle has no outstanding finance, has not been written off, stolen or cloned. The HPI check scrutinises the history of UK motor vehicles and is one of the most important checks that can be done to ascertain the history of a used vehicle. We take care of these checks at our expense so you can buy your car from us with confidence.
Your vehicle will be checked, tested and inspected to ensure it comes to you in great condition, but any car can break down at the most inconvenient time. It's good to know that we will put mechanical failure protection in place to cover you in your moment of need for total peace of mind.

GAP AND RTI INSURANCE
My Car Boutique is partnered with AutoProtect to offer you an award-winning asset protection
Combined GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) and RTI (Return To Invoice) insurance are designed to protect you if your vehicle is in an accident, had a fire or is stolen and is subsequently deemed a total loss by your motor insurance company. Our combined product includes GAP and RTI. GAP is suited to customers taking out a finance agreement and may pay the difference between the road risk insurance settlement and the amount you still owe on your finance agreement. RTI Cover could reimburse any difference between the road risk motor insurance settlement and original vehicle price.
What if due to accident, fire or theft, your motor insurance company declares your vehicle a write-off? What's
more its depreciation in value leads them to pay out less than your vehicle was originally worth.
What if you used a finance agreement to buy a vehicle that's declared a write-off, before you've paid
back all you owe? You may have to continue making monthly payments on a vehicle you no longer
Whether you've paid outright, or made a finance agreement, you can be covered fully with Combined Guaranteed Asset Protection.
How Combined Guaranteed Asset Protection works:
- If you bought your vehicle outright and paid £15,000 for your car and your motor insurance payout is £9,000, RTI can pay up to the difference of £6,000 to top it up to the original £15,000.
- If you financed your vehicle and paid £20,000 and your motor insurance pay out is £12,000, and your outstanding finance payment was £16,500 Finance GAP insurance may payout up to £4,500.
- Combined Guaranteed Asset Protection will payout the greater of the Finance GAP or RTI amount.
It's that simple!
- Incorporates Return to Invoice Cover (RTI) and Guaranteed Asset Protection (or GAP).
- RTI Cover could reimburse any difference between the road risk insurance settlement and original vehicle price.
- GAP is suited to customers taking out a finance agreement and may pay the difference between the road risk insurance settlement and the amount you still owe.
- Combined GAP and RTI insurance could pay out the greater of either the RTI or GAP pay- out, protecting you whatever your circumstance.
- Meets the ABI code of practice.
